Individuals are expected to possess HVAC certification, demonstrate technical expertise in at least one of the following craft areas: Electrical, Piping/Plumbing, Hydraulics and/or Central Utility Plant Operations, and possess proficient knowledge in others to successfully complete daily/weekly/monthly work assignments.What your day-to-day will look like:Support the activities, building structure and development track at the Porsche Experience Center in Carson, California. Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and monitor repairs of the Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, Hydraulic and Control systems for the facility to keep the facility’s building and track systems operating up to applicable standards as assigned. Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance, general maintenance and technical proficiency. Maintenance of the equipment will include cleaning, inspecting, calibrating and changing parts to maintain all facility systems and associated equipment at optimum performance levels. Support Chief Engineer in Gathering of Information for and Submittal of Annual OCP, Minimum Score of 3.5 or higherFrequently work at heights up to 26 feet, changing environmental temperature extremes, perform overhead work while standing on a ladder. Ability to lift and/or carry objects up to 50 pounds. Perform duties with minimum supervision. Exercise regular and predictable attendance to support the needs of the team and the client. Manage and update daily tasks through an electronic work order system. Complete special tasks that include but are not limited to painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance as assigned. Comply with policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Maintain records for work completed in a neat and organized mannPerform other duties as assigned. Complete Annual Online Safety TrainingReview monthly client service request summaries to pinpoint and correct recurrent operational problemsEvaluate vendors and suppliers on a regular basis regarding quality of work and competitive pricingVerify the accuracy of deliveries for count, pricing, and description. Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory. Ability to assess challenges, troubleshoot and present solutions to the Facility Manager and/or client for feasibility and cost review. Ability to mentor and lead other building engineers through technical and professional challenges. Attend scheduled Virtual Engineering Team callsRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentAt least 5 years Commercial Facility maintenance experiencePossess CFC Universal CertificationCertification in at least two of the following disciplines: Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, Hydraulics and/or Central Utility Plant Operations. Must be able to log in and out of multiple software programs using a laptop and Smartphone to manage and track day to day operations, electronic work orders and email communication. Ability to use basic computer programs. Word, Excel, Microsoft Office, PowerPointMust be able to independently plan work assignments and trouble-shoot clearly, calmly and safely in the presence of Guests and fellow Team Members. Must be able to perform duties with minimum supervision. Able to lift at least 50lbs, use ladders up to 26’Must be a team player and self-driven; dependableAbility to communicate effectively in English in both oral and written communications. On-Call duties required every other week and weekend.
