They will be responsible for the integrity of financial operations, compliance, controls, and reporting while building a high-performing team aligned to our strategic growth goals.\nEssential Functions and Responsibilities:\nLeads the development and scaling of a high-performing finance team; fosters a data-driven culture, continuous improvement, automation, and transparency.\nOversees the core accounting functions: accounts payable/receivable, billing, payroll, month-end closing, financial reporting, and risk management, with indirect oversight of budgeting and forecasting. Ensures consistency in month-end close and analysis of financial results.\nDrives accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and in compliance with federal contracting regulations (FAR, DFARS, CAS).\nManages revenue recognition in line with ASC 606 and project-based accounting methodologies.\nLeads audits and compliance activities with external agencies, including DCAA, CPA firms, and government regulators.\nPrepares and manages indirect rate budgets, incurred cost submissions, and forward pricing models.\nMaintains general ledger and balance sheet accuracy; manages internal controls and ensures compliance across all accounting functions.\nServes as liaison with third-party advisors (audit, legal, tax) and internal stakeholders (executive team, program leaders).\nOversees ERP/financial system integrity and upgrades; leads efforts to streamline and modernize financial operations.\nEnsures timely submission of all federal, state, and local tax requirements.\nProvides clear company-wide communications regarding financial policies, payroll, and compliance.\nLeads cash management and treasury functions, including banking relationships and daily liquidity oversight.\nInterfaces directly with banking partners and private equity strategic investors to support capital planning, covenant compliance, and financial transparency.\nAdheres to all certified processes as part of our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and information security, which includes actively participating in quality assurance activities and ensuring the protection of sensitive information in accordance with our security policies.\nPerforms other related tasks as assigned.\nRequired/Desired Qualifications:\nEducation, Training, and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or another related field (CPA or CMA preferred.\n10+ years of progressive accounting/finance leadership experience, with 5+ years in Government Contracting.\nProficiency in accounting software (with experience in Unanet or Deltek Costpoint preferred) and Microsoft Excel.\nExperience in ERP system administration (Unanet preferred).\nProven experience building and leading high-performing finance teams in high-growth companies.\nSpecific skills, knowledge, and abilities:?\nDeep understanding of GAAP, FAR, DFARS, and CAS; experience with DCAA audits and government compliance. ?\nStrong working knowledge of financial systems (experience with Unanet or SAP preferred).\nIn-depth understanding of financial reporting and internal controls.?\nAbility to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insightful recommendations.\nAttention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.\nAbility to lead and motivate a team, manage performance, and delegate effectively.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate financial information to various stakeholders.\nAbility to identify and resolve financial issues and challenges.?\nCompensation:\nIn accordance with pay transparency law, the expected salary range for this position is $170,000– $200,000 annually. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
