With expert medical care and approachable, service-oriented clinicians, Arcata-Mad River Ambulance plays a critical role in providing this region of Northern California with timely access to definitive medical care.\n\nWe’re hiring Paramedics (EMT-Ps) that will respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and deliver high-quality care, treatment and customer service to patients.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nAssess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.\nUtilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.\nCommunicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.\nAct as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.\nDrive the ambulance on 911 responses.\nWork collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.\n\nOther Responsibilities:\n\nParticipate in community programs to maintain AMRA/GMR image and establish strong community relations.\n\nMinimum Required Qualifications:\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED)\nState Paramedic License\nAmbulance Drivers License\nState Driver’s License\nBLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic\nDriving record in compliance with company policy\nPass Physical Agility Test\nSome work experience, preferably in healthcare\n\nWhy Choose Arcata-Mad River Ambulance?
