Previous experience working in Health Care Claims Enrollment software development environment is highly desirable. Experience in the insurance and/or healthcare industry is required.Required Skills:At least 8 years of mainframe-based application development experience.Demonstrated knowledge of COBOL applications running under CICS and/or COBOL batch applications.Strongly demonstrated knowledge of DB2, including complex multi-table queries; imbedded SQL in COBOL, and DB2 batch applications.Demonstrated knowledge and best practices of testing environments and processesStrong testing skillsExcellent problem solving skillsStrong analytical skillsExcellent verbal and written communications skillsFamiliar with structured programming techniquesMust be able to perform assigned tasks with minimum supervisionStrong documentation skillsJAVA experience a plusCandidates must have experience working with teams in a heavily matrixed organization and show a propensity for dealing with the user community in a highly professional non-technical manner.Technical expertise with enrollment systems preferred.
