This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.\n\nWhat you will do\n\nConduct detailed financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, planning, variance analysis, and cost estimating, to support program management decisions and ensure accurate financial reporting\n\nDevelop and maintain program EACs and budgets and provide monthly reporting on financial performance against established metrics and within contractually negotiated parameters\n\nMonitor project costs, milestones and deliverables, identifying potential risks and opportunities, and recommend appropriate corrective actions\n\nCollaborate with program managers and functional teams to review and analyze program performance, identifying areas for improvement and optimize resource allocation\n\nParticipate in program reviews, provide analysis on financial status, program health, and funding risks/availability\n\nIncorporate contractual changes into ERP systems to assist with reliable backlog reporting\n\nAssist in proposal development by providing cost estimates/BOEs and supporting financial documentation\n\nAssist with external audits, RFIs, and any other requested artifacts\n\nEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and government regulations, such as the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)\n\nWhat you need to have\n\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus\n\nMinimum of 2-4 years of experience in program control, financial analysis, accounting, project management, or related roles, preferably within the defense or government contracting industry\n\nStrong understanding of project management principles, financial, and SOX concepts\n\nProficiency in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, planning, and variance analysis\n\nExcellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights\n\nExperience with government contracts and compliance requirements, such as DCAA and FAR\n\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications\n\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders\n\nDetail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and ability to meet tight deadlines\n\nAbility to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and manage multiple priorities effectively\n\nWhat we'd like you to have\n\nFamiliarity with government contracts and the following contract types: Fixed Price (FP), Time & Material (T&M), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF)\n\nExperience with Unanet, Deltek Costpoint, SAP, or other ERP system\n\nExperience with SalesForce\n\nProven success with process improvement/efficiency initiatives with tangible results\n\nAbout BigBear.ai\nBigBear.ai is a leading provider of AI-powered decision intelligence solutions for national security, supply chain management, and digital identity.
