Soldering Technician / Surface Mount Operator (SMT)

Job Description Pridestaff is currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician for a manufacturing company located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. This is a full-time, contract to permanent position with opportunity to grow. Please see job requirements below to be considered.Pay Rate: $20-$22Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:30am – 3pm Summary of Position:Manufacturing Technician I is responsible for testing and configuring check scanners using computerized test software which at times requires scanner troubleshooting using small hand tools. The Manufacturing Technician I is expected to accomplish personal output and quality goals as well as team goals assigned by the Supervision and Management team. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:· Test and configure check scanners using computerized test software and small hand tools.· Keep track of tested units and personal work pace to ensure output goals are achieved.· Monitor individual quality.· Evaluate individual and team strengths and weaknesses to help the team work efficiently.· Work with the Supervision team to obtain replacement parts for your units as needed.· Follow ESD and safety instructions/procedures.· Additional responsibilities as assigned by Supervision and/or Management. Qualifications/Education requirements: · High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electronics or a related field is preferred· Previous mechanical or electromechanical experience· Soldering capabilities – surface mount and through hole· Working knowledge of small hand tools Personal Skills and Competencies:· Situational awareness· Strong PC skills· Strong verbal and written communication skills· Electromechanical understanding· Multi-tasking· Use of small hand tools· Detail oriented· Organizational skills· Ability to work individually and as a team· Bilingual Spanish a plus but not required Working Conditions/Physical Requirements of the Job:· Regularly required to: sit, talk, hear, stand, walk, twist, bend, stoop, reach above shoulder level, and lift up to 30 lbs. with hands and arms.
