This role supports the local sales team from the first customer contact to last bidding presentation, providing expertise in the mechatronic capabilities of the TGW product portfolio.\n\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nFocuses on low complexity designs of the mechatronic material handling layouts using the TGW product portfolio and relevant 3rd party equipment.\nStudies and learns the TGW product portfolio and 3rd party items to build technical knowledge of material handling equipment (MHE) systems.\nDevelops and presents concepts during internal discussions to create optimized solutions that best fit the customer’s requirements.\nCreates mechanical costing quotation for TGW products and 3rd party items to be used in the complete project estimator.\nUses engineering knowledge to conduct system performance calculations to ensure that the selected equipment meets the specified target rates.\nPerforms additional duties as assigned.\n\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.\n\nExperience: Some prior internship or professional experience preferred.\n\nTravel: Up to 10% travel required.\n\nSkills & Abilities\n\nProficiency in 3D computer-aided design (CAD) software.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nSolid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).\nAutoCAD (2D CAD) and Sketchup experience preferred.\n\nPhysical Requirements\n\nAbility to remain stationary at a desk for prolonged periods of time.\nAbility to go to site frequently and move safely around industrial and/or warehouse environment.\nAbility to lift and carry supplies up to 25 pounds at a time.\nAbility to operate computers, tablets, phones, and other electronic devices.\nAbility to communicate with others verbally and in writing, on a frequent basis.\nAbility to tolerate exposure to job site temperature fluctuations due to seasonal weather in geographic region.\n\nThe physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
