This role is responsible for maintaining efficiency, driving performance, and ensuring all production goals and standards are met.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead, manage, and support tool room staff to ensure efficient daily operationsAssign work, delegate responsibilities, and oversee job progressMaintain accurate documentation, including PM logs, job run times, and related recordsDevelop and improve processes and systems that enhance tool room performanceRead and interpret drawings and blueprintsUtilize die layout, fixturing, and miscellaneous part experience (preferred)Perform or oversee milling, lathe work, and grindingInstruct and train team members in machining techniques and proper proceduresCommunicate and coordinate with outside vendors as neededEstimate labor hours for tooling jobsOperate forklift when requiredEnsure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety protocolsAttend required meetings and training sessionsSupport troubleshooting efforts and assist in resolving technical issuesPosition and inspect parts using surface plates or other inspection equipmentSafely handle and move materials up to 50 lbsQualificationsStrong understanding of tool room operations, equipment, and processesPrevious leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to coach and develop team membersProficient with job-related software and documentation systemsHigh level of integrity, professionalism, and communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple prioritiesCapable of working under pressure and meeting deadlinesWillingness to work overtime when neededStrong troubleshooting abilitiesCommitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environmentBenefitsMedical, Dental, VisionCompany provided AD&D401k with Company Match10%-15% yearly bonus opportunityRelocation AssistanceContinued EducationPay Transparency NoticeThe pay range listed for this position reflects the base wage and is provided in compliance with Illinois law.
