The successful candidate will possess the desire to learn process control engineering and learn automation programming techniques. They will be expected to complete programming efforts assigned and keep track of details specific to their part of the project. Including both office and field work, performing IO checks, startup and commissioning activities at client sites as part of an automation team. Startup and commissioning activities typically require overtime that is paid at straight hourly rate.\nWorking with senior level automation resources to troubleshooting PLC, HMI, DCS programming.\nProgramming online and uploading / downloading running process controls systems will be taught and supervised my more senior level resources.\nParticipation in customer focused interactions on the plant floor and in customer meetings.\nThe control system programmer 1 will be assigned tasks to be performed for a project and will be expected to work to a project budget and scope.\nImplementing automation control systems as part of a team for industrial clients including OEM’s, end users, and EPC firms across a range of industries including General Industry, Food & Beverage, Pulp & Paper, Steel & Metals, OEM, Municipal & Institutional, High Purity, EPC, Chemical Processing, Oil & Gas, Power Generation.\nTechnical writing skills are required to assist in completing project documentation and project reports.\nAbility to follow, and perform work, in accordance with the HS&E company policies and procedures.\nThis position has a travel expectation that could range from 20% up to 75% depending on project activities such as site startups and commissioning, site inspections, consulting engagements, etc.\nYour Experience\nThe desired candidate will possess a degree such as a Bachelors in a technical field.
