Wet Saw Operator

Wet Saw Operator Job Summary We seek energetic, motivated, and reliable Saw Operators to set up and operate electrical energized/powered Wet or Ferrari saws to cut, rip, chop, and trim nonmetallic ceramic tile, granite, stone, or travertine pieces according to required specifications. Must communicate effectively and work well with management and fellow employees. Essential duties and responsibilities: Selects and installs blades on the machine, using hand tools. Sets controls to adjust speed, feed rate, and blade tensions Positions guides, stops, holding blocks, or other fixtures to secure and direct workpieces, using hand tools and measuring devices. Mounts workpiece in holding device. Operates saw to cut along preset lengths and widths. Verifies dimensions of the finished workpiece using measuring devices. May also build and assemble finished products as needed. Maintains saws in operational order by conducting daily maintenance. Performs daily cleanup of assigned saws and work area. Sorting and Stacking finished products and securing them for safe movement/transportation. Performs daily cleanup of assigned saws and work area. Adhere to time and attendance policies Perform other duties determined as necessary Experience: Operating an MK wet or Ferrari saw – 2 years (Preferred) Operating warehouse machinery - 1 year (Required) Warehouse & logistics - 1-2 years (Required) Basic math skills for measurements and calculations (Required) Additional Requirements: Ability to read a tape measure (Required) Attention to detail (Required) Good eye-to-hand coordination Any prior experience operating a saw Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
