Speech Language Pathologist - School Location: Mauston, WI Agency: Conflux Systems Inc Pay: $60 to $63 per hour Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Therapist / Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to assess and treat patients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders . The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to help individuals improve communication skills and swallow safely while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care through assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Conduct initial evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans of care. Complete accurate and timely documentation including evaluations, progress notes, treatment updates, and discharge summaries. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes. Educate patients and families regarding therapy goals, exercises, communication strategies, and swallowing safety recommendations. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, dietitians, food service staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Provide staff education regarding patient evaluation results, treatment recommendations, and evidence-based practices. Develop and deliver in-service presentations and training opportunities for staff. Contact insurance providers regarding patient benefits and coverage when required. Prepare treatment materials and therapy spaces for evaluations and sessions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms after each session. Make reminder calls to patients for appointments as needed. Assist patients and families with navigating the hospital or care facility. Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements Required Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field. Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) . Certificate of Clinical Competence ( CCC-SLP ) preferred or eligibility to obtain. Current CPR/BLS certification (if required by facility). Experience in hospital, outpatient, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing settings preferred. Strong knowledge of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills. Preferred Skills: Experience with dysphagia evaluations and treatment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care.
