The System Operations Engineer is responsible for deploying new technologies, managing various application services, and troubleshooting system software or hardware related issues to help maintain a stable, secure, and effective technology infrastructure.\nEssential Responsibilities include the following.\nEnterprise Vulnerability Management – In partnership with the Security and Compliance team, lead system discovery and remediation actions required to address system vulnerabilities on Cloud and On-Prem systems in a timely fashion.\nEndpoint Device & Software Deployment Management – Using the various system tools; ensure endpoint devices have system policies, applications, patches, and standard settings applied.\nExtended Detection and Response (XDR) Management -Assist with managing the tools that provides Antivirus/malware protection, early threat detection, blocks malicious activities and remediates affected systems.\nActive Directory Management - Manage and maintain MS Server environments 2012 -2022 including enterprise directory services, Group Policy, DNS, IIS, DHCP, DFS, and ADFS.\nSystem Administration - Manage and maintain on premise and cloud-based virtualization environments, collaboration tools, Terminal Servers, Lab Management Systems, Databases, and SharePoint sites.\nProduce metric reports and capacity planning reports as needed to support the Windows and storage environments.\nAssist in planning/implementing/managing Disaster Recovery solutions for enterprise applications and infrastructure, including Site Recovery Manager.\nEnsure all system changes meet change control and secure standard policies and procedures.\nWorking with customers both internal and external to troubleshoot incidents.\nCoordinate and participate in key process improvements as they relate to the client/server and core infrastructure services environment.\nPerform regular system tuning, upgrades, and performance monitoring.\nWorks closely with key project team members such as project managers, business analyst, technical leads, and business users.\nIdentify potential trends in performance gaps and recommend modifications to the standardized work documents by using process improvement principles.\nEvaluate and recommend new technology upgrades; evaluate new software and hardware to determine usefulness and compatibility with existing software/hardware.\nParticipates in On-Call rotation to provide 24/7 critical systems production support.\nOther duties and special projects as assigned.\nSKILLS\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to facilitate and lead complex discussions in a mixed technical and business team environment.\nMust have a team-oriented approach and keen attention to detail.\nMust be able to suggest plans to integrate new and existing systems.\nMust be self-directed and able to work effectively in a diverse team environment with little to no direct supervision.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\nAbility and desire to take ownership of tasks and responsibilities.\nKNOWLEDGE\nExtensive knowledge and experience related to IT systems and technologies.\nExtensive knowledge of common industry hardware, operating systems, monitoring software, tools and utilities, and platforms, in addition to free and open-source tools.\nExtensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products, e.g., word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, data base, project planning.\nExtensive knowledge and practice creating, executing, and scheduling PowerShell scripts or other methods to resolve issues and/or automate tasks.\nThorough knowledge of SDLC and PMO methodologies.\nMust understand technical problems and solutions in relation to current and future business environments.\nKnowledge of infrastructure hardware and/or software installation, configuration and maintenance (i.e., firewalls, routers, switches, operating systems, storage, administration/monitoring tools).\nQUALIFICATIONS\nRequired Qualifications\nAssociates Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field. In lieu of computer-related degree, Associate degrees in other fields may be considered in conjunction with equivalent work experience.\nMore than 8 years of experience in IT industry with experience in Windows Server administration; Active Directory Services (AD, DNS, DHCP), RDP and MS Terminal Server, Antivirus Administration, and vulnerability management.\nHands on Experience in IIS Web Server Administration.\nHands on Experience in managing / supporting VMWARE servers (hosts and guests).\nHands on Experience with the complete patch management lifecycle including testing, deploying, troubleshooting missing patches and patch issues.\nDesired Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field.\nMicrosoft certified (MCSE).\nExperience with MS SQL, Oracle DB.\nExperience with IaaS Cloud Solutions – MS Azure preferred.\nExperience with Office 365 and SaaS based solutions.\nHands on Linux Administration experience.\nHands on experience with Application Performance Management solutions.\nSharePoint administration experience.\nSystems Security training and/or certifications.\nHands on experience with on premise and cloud-based Identity Management solutions.\nExperience in regulated IT environments (HIPAA, PCI, SOC 2, ISO 27001).\nFor US Candidates\nThe anticipated base pay range for this position is $82,500 - $110,000.
