This job description outlines the essential responsibilities and expectations for the role and applies regardless of project assignment.\n\nDESCRIPTION OF DUTIES\nProject Support (~90%)\nUnder the direction and supervision of Project Leads, the Program Associate will:\nAssist with day-to-day coordination tasks to support projects that advance electric mobility programs\nSupport specific tasks and timelines within project work plans to support the completion of deliverables and required reporting.\nHelp prepare and format project presentations and reports\nSchedule meetings, take notes, and track action items with project partners and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and effective communication\nAssist with the logistics and execution of public engagement and awareness campaigns related to project work, including participating in public events\nParticipate in team discussions to learn about strategies to scale the adoption of electric mobility\nSupport the collection and basic analysis of project data; contribute to project documentation and lessons learned summaries\nTravel to meetings to provide support, as requested\nAssist with coordinating working group activities and the convening of industry stakeholders, including scheduling meetings and managing communications\nProvide on the ground fleet support\nBusiness Development (~10%)\nIn collaboration with Development staff and under the direction of Programs staff, the Program Associate will:\nConduct background research to support the development of new project ideas and funding proposals\nProvide administrative support on proposal development and grant applications, including preparing RFP responses and collecting documentation\nTrack industry trends and help maintain shared databases or resources related to funding opportunities\nGather and share partner/client feedback with program and development staff to inform future opportunities\nHelp promote Forth’s activities and events to external partners\nOther responsibilities as required.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nRequired\nA passion for Forth’s mission and values and a desire to deepen your understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion\nExperience and Education\nOne year of experience in project coordination, preferably in\ntransportation, energy, or related field\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nStrong project coordination, organizational, and time management skills\nCollaborative, team player approach\nAdaptable and flexible with a desire to learn\nExcellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, both written and verbal\nDemonstrated self-motivation, ability to work independently or take direction, and attention to detail\nCritical thinking and problem-solving skills\nAbility to manage multiple conflicting responsibilities and meet deadlines while maintaining work-life balance\nWillingness and ability to travel nationally, occasionally overnight\nUp to 10 overnight trips per year\nRegular, workday travel throughout Portland metro area\nLocated in or willing to relocate to Portland, OR before starting\nAble to maintain a safe home office environment\nA valid drivers license and clean driving record\nHelpful\nBachelor’s degree in a relevant field\nFamiliarity with electric vehicles and charging, micromobility, car sharing and other shared mobility programs, electrifying farm equipment, or other electric vehicles\nExisting relationships with relevant stakeholders (electric utilities, transportation agencies, charging companies, car companies, etc.)\nExperience collaborating with matrixed organizations; ability to use systems thinking and interpret complex stakeholder needs\nNonprofit sector experience\nMulti-lingual\nFamiliarity with vehicle maintenance\n\nCOMPENSATION\nStarting salary range is $49,500 to $59,500 annually, commensurate with experience. Forth has adopted a Compensation Philosophy to define our strategy and guiding principles for how pay is determined, managed and communicated to team members. Forth strives to pay competitive salaries while prioritizing internal pay equity. We set pay ranges for all roles based on classification level, benchmarked against similar-stage growth organizations in all sectors and several US locations.
