Data runs on STACK.\nTHE POSITION:\nThe Director, Mechanical Engineering will support innovation initiatives, support campus master planning, and provide support to the Vice President, Architecture for a multi-phase, campus-scale construction project ensuring that cost-effective and energy efficient data center facilities are developed to meet the current and future needs of the company. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:\nOversee the preparation and final approval of project contract documents produced by third party design consultants.\nEnsure that project designs are completed on schedule and within budget.\nSupply engineering expertise and guidance on projects, operations, and systems within the company’s existing facilities.\nDevelop and maintain equipment specifications for owner furnished and contractor installed (OFCI) equipment and systems.\nSupport the procurement of owner furnished and contractor installed equipment and systems through vendor submittal reviews, approvals and factory witness testing.\nMaintain and updates the legacy basis of design documents.\nAssist in development of new basis of designs for emerging business needs.\nIdentify, recommend, and implement new technologies and systems to maximize energy and cost efficiency of the company’s data centers.\nCommunicate and implement engineering and design policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent operations.\nMaintain knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in engineering and design trends related to the organizations industry.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nTHE DETAILS:\nLocation: Denver, CO preferred; Alternate STACK data center locations considered\nTravel: Some domestic travel required, estimated 25-33%\nMust be eligible to work in the United States\nMust pass comprehensive background screening\nMUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS\nProfessional Engineer (PE) Registration is Preferred (Mechanical)\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience\nMinimum of 10 years’ experience in the design of data centers and specification of HVAC equipment for mission critical facilities to be considered for Director level position.\nCandidates with 5-7 years’ experience in design of data centers can apply but will be considered for a Manager level position.\nExpertise in IT cooling technologies, both air and direct to chip liquid\nUnderstanding of mechanical cooling system control\nProficient in MS Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint\nBaseline proficiency of AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Adobe Acrobat\nCompensation Range:\n$209,456.00 - $234,578.00\nTHIS MIGHT BE RIGHT FOR YOU IF:\nYou are a strong communicator, you are persuasive and clear, blending analytics with experience in decision-making.\nYou do not get flustered easily.
