The Assembler II aligns components with jigs or fixtures, utilizes various measuring instruments, performs light electrical bonding, and is familiar with many process specifications. The Assembler II is reliable, knowledgeable, and sufficiently skilled in assembly standards and duties.\r\nREPORTS TO The Assembler II directly reports to the Assembly Supervisor\r\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITIONEducation, Training, and/or ExperienceU.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident\r\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\r\nMinimum of one (1) year of experience in Composite Manufacturing\r\nMinimum of two (2) years of experience in Aircraft Assembly\r\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this jobFrequently sit or stand for extended periods of time\r\nFrequently required to use eye-hand coordination, fine motor skills, and manual dexterity\r\nConstantly use hands to hold steady, handle, grasp, or feel\r\nFrequently twist and reach to shoulder level\r\nOccasionally walk, squat, kneel, use foot controls, or perform vibratory tasks\r\nRegularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds without assistance\r\nSpecific vision abilities include close, color, distance and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus\r\nHearing level within normal/average range\r\nWork with or in the presence of hazardous chemicals, resins, and fiberglass as required (PPE provided as necessary)\r\nESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND ABILITIESTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Intermediate skill in composite bonding, sealing, and potting compounds\r\nKnowledge and understanding of process specifications and manufacturing plan interpretation\r\nAttention to detail with a commitment to accuracy, quality, and safety\r\nBasic understanding of GD&T and technical drawings\r\nAbility to use complex and basic hand and pneumatic tools to drill, countersink, fit, rivet, and finish parts\r\nAbility to effectively read, write, and communicate in the English language\r\nAbility to process information and problem-solve accordingly\r\nAbility to assist other team members as required\r\nUse of general math concepts (add, subtract, multiply, and divide), the Standard unit of measurement, and coordinating tools\r\nUse of general math concepts (add, subtract, multiply, and divide), the Standard unit of measurement, and coordinating tools\r\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEssential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Trim, drill, countersink, and ream metal and composite details with tooling/aids\r\nWet and dry installation of permanent and non-permanent fasteners with tooling/aids\r\nPerform basic electrical bonding applications\r\nApply decorative laminate and pressure sensitive tapes\r\nMeasure, mix, and apply adhesives, epoxies, potting compounds, and moldable shims\r\nAssist with cross-training other team members as required\r\nBond and assemble medium to large and/or moderately complex assemblies with tooling/aids\r\nComplete work with quality and accuracy; completing and following all documentation provided\r\nSelf-manage time and workflow through personal work area\r\nPerform basic rework, repairs, and assemblies with efficiency and consistency\r\nMaintain material quantities and operation requirements (Acceptance Authority Media) throughout all work\r\nMaintain a safe, organized, FOD-free work area with a focus on lean principles as instructed\r\nOther duties as assigned\r\nManagement reserves the right to assign and/or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
