(CPI) is looking for a full-time Electrical Engineer to support our customers at the U.S. Naval Observatory, Washington DC.\nBackground\nThe U.S. Naval Observatory (USNO) is responsible for the creation, dissemination and maintenance of precise time and navigation products for the Department of Defense and other customers. CPI is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide test and validation support for critical time dissemination equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design implementation of RF electronics, RF over fiber, and timing systems; and integration of these systems into existing timing infrastructure. The position also requires validation, troubleshooting and monitoring of atomic frequency standards; and investigation of new methods of clock signal distribution and cutting-edge commercial clock technologies.\nMost work for this position will be completed on-site at USNO in Washington, D.C.; travel within and outside of the continental United States will be required based on the needs of the customer. An active SECRET security clearance is required for this position, and the candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET/SCI clearance upon hiring.
