These systems support advanced manufacturing, power electronics, and energy related applications.\nThis role is ideal for an experienced embedded engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working cross-functionally with hardware and controls teams, and contributing to next-generation product development while influencing technical design decisions.\n\nResponsibilities\nDesign and develop embedded firmware in C/C++ for microcontroller and DSP-based systems\nContribute to firmware architecture design for subsystems or full product platforms\nImplement and tune digital control loops, filters, and compensators for real-time control applications\nAnalyze system and test data to validate firmware performance and identify optimization opportunities\nSupport hardware bring-up, prototype evaluation, and system debugging activities\nPerform root cause analysis on firmware and hardware interaction issues\nDocument firmware architecture, behavior, and validation results\nCollaborate with hardware, power electronics, controls, and software teams to ensure system-level performance\nParticipate in design reviews and continuous improvement of engineering processes\nLead or support project tasks or technical workstreams within larger development programs\n\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field\n5+ years of experience developing embedded firmware using C/C++ in real-time operating environments\nExperience using lab instrumentation such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills\nPreferred:\nExperience with power electronics, industrial equipment, welding systems, or motor control applications\nExposure to FPGA development (VHDL preferred)\nExperience using Python for automation, testing, or data analysis\n\nWright Technical Services and our client are Equal Opportunity Employers.
