This includes leading Pricing Review/Kick-off meetings with Operations, Estimating, and VC.\nProficient use of the USEC Pricing/Bid Sheet.\nOperations Coordination:\nProvide relevant information to the Operations Team to assist in maintaining the project schedule until preconstruction ends.\nAssist the Project Manager with updates for equipment and material lead times.\nCareer/Business Development:\nDevelop and foster effective peer-to-peer relationships with clients.\nTake a supporting role in the RFP process during development and interview prep.\nDevelop and foster effective relationships with internal clients, vendors, and subs.\nAttend learning opportunities throughout the industry, including internal and external educational presentations, and other trade-related events.\nHighly encourage participation in USEC extracurricular activities, committees, philanthropy, etc.\nJob Scope:\nThe scope of work may vary, from working on one large project to several smaller projects. The Assistant Preconstruction Manager will assist or manage project designs and budgets through the preconstruction phase, for projects ranging up to or beyond $5 million in mechanical value.\n\nEducation & Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Science/Management, or Architectural Engineering preferred.\nEquivalent technical training and related experience will be considered.\nPreferred 1 to 5 years of technical or administrative experience in HVAC, piping, and plumbing at a commercial, industrial, or institutional level.\n\nKnowledge, skills, and abilities:\nKnowledge of HVAC and plumbing engineering\nKnowledge of construction engineering technology, processes, and standards.\nTeam orientation and collaborative spirit.\nSelf-motivation; ability to drive results.\nEffective communication skills.\nAbility to develop and foster strong professional relationships.\nBasic level of business acumen.\nAbility to proactively identify potential problems and their solutions.\nPhysical and/or travel demands:\nRoutine driving to project sites is required. Work will be done in a combination of office and job site environments.\nPhysical demands include walking on uneven surfaces, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and lifting. Position includes sitting and standing, keyboard, and computer monitor.\nLight travel may be required.\nBenefits and Compensation:\nThe range for this position has been established at $75,760.00 - $107,011.00\nper year and is US Engineering’s good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of the posting. The compensation offered to the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.\nYour total compensation will go beyond the number on your paycheck.
