Men's Basketball Operations Assistant/Assistant Coach
Responsibilities and DutiesResponsibilities for the Men’s Basketball Operations Assistant/Assistant Coach include, but are not limited to the following:Organizes team travel; delivers and receives per diem; meets bus drivers and completes hotel check-ins; coordinates with dietician and organizes team meals; receives and directs phone calls, mailings, travel paperwork, and recruiting/compliance documentation; coordinates plans with facilities managementProvides on-court teaching instructions and development; performs manager program oversight duties; acts as assistant director of camps and sports information liaison/development liaisonAssists with academic support, fundraising activities, and community service, including communication and outreach to alumniCreates scouting reports, as assigned by the head coach, and provides institution to team related to strategy derived from scouting reportsRecruits and evaluates prospective student-athletes, on a limited basis, through the use of technology, conducting contacts and evaluations, organizing official visits, including assigning hosts, and creating travel itineraries and managing all budgetary elements of visits while adhering to all NCAA regulationsTracks all admissions through the application process for prospective student-athletes; provides instruction to student-athlete hosts on department/NCAA policies and procedures for a visitKnowledge and adherence to NCAA rulesCompletes recruiting logs and other end-of-year summaries and correspondence within ARMS and in coordination with the compliance officePerforms other duties as assigned by the Head CoachThe work hours for this position include evenings and weekends as needed. Travel is required.Qualifications And SkillsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degreeOne year of basketball operations experienceAbility to train and recruit at the Division I collegiate levelAbility to accept and carry out assigned program and responsibilitiesAbility to communicate effectively and work well with other coaches, students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, and the communityAbility to pass the NCAA recruiting test and have a thorough understanding of NCAA rules and regulationsDemonstrated commitment to high academic standards for student-athletes and their ability to succeed both academically and athletically and understanding that this is essential to building a positive team cultureCommitment to personal and professional development of student-athletesAbility to work collaboratively within the structure and framework of an Athletics Department and UniversityPreferred QualificationBasketball coaching experienceOrganization: Athletics DivisionPrimary Location: Main CampusJob Posting: Apr 7, 2026
