We have an exciting role for a self-motivated Sr. BIOS Engineer, who has a background in hardware engineering, to research, design, develop and test our server products. BIOS Engineer will design and development of BIOS using a range of applicable technologies (e.g. programming languages, compilers, assemblers, debuggers, ITPÂ’s, Scopes, and other tools) and state-of-art software engineering methodologies. Ideal candidates should be proactive in managing meeting schedules, identifying risks, and delivering high quality software.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nIncludes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):\n\nDevelop UEFI BIOS for desktop and server\nPerform desktop, server board and workstation UEFI BIOS porting\nDevise module codes for development\nProvide engineering support to customers on BIOS issues\nVerify BIOS System specifications\nManage schedule of the project from design phase to production\nTest functionality and reliability and ensure product quality\nWork on related Linux kernel development and device drivers\nStudy computer motherboard, BIOS system specifications, and configuration requirements to plan and develop reliability and compatibility\nStudy and analyze the design specifications and system housing to optimize the system efficiency\nConsult and coordinate with other engineering staff to evaluate the design specifications and functions\nQualifications:\nBS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering\nMinimum 8 year of relevant work experience in low level software development\nMinimum 8 year of experience with either Legacy BIOS code or UEFI code\nStrong background in software design with C, C++ and/or Assembly is a plus\nSolid understanding of PC hardware architecture, BIOS, and Linux is required\nWork independently and be self-motivated\nMust be a team player, have passion for software development and have excellent communication skills\n\nPlease note that this position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location.\n\nSalary Range\n$152,000 - $168,000\nThe salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
