Data Admin – Jr. Sales Account Manager – Defense / AerospacePosition OverviewThe Data Entry / Junior Sales Account Manager at MAC Aerospace supports the management of customer accounts by assisting with day-to-day account activities, Request for Quotes, Sales/Purchase orders, and client communication. This role is designed for someone early in their career who is eager to learn and grow within the aerospace, defense, and international military markets.Working closely with the Senior Account Managers and cross-functional teams, the Data Admin /Jr. Sales Account Manager helps ensure smooth order execution, timely communication, and strong customer relationships. This position provides hands-on experience in account management, sales support, and operational coordination, with opportunities for growth into a full Account Manager role.Key ResponsibilitiesAccount Support & Customer Relations· Support Account Managers in managing assigned customer accounts· Serve as a secondary point of contact for customer inquiries and follow-ups· Assist in maintaining strong client relationships through clear and professional communication· Help document customer requirements, procurement cycles, and account activity· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and account detailsData Entry and Sales Support· Assist in preparing RFQs, proposals, and customer submissions· Assist in sales orders, and purchase orders· Coordinate with internal teams to support quotes, order fulfillment and delivery timelines· Monitor open requests and help communicate status updates to customers· Support issue resolution by coordinating with appropriate internal departments· Help identify opportunities for account growth, including upselling and cross-selling· Support Account Managers in developing and maintaining account plansCustomer Communication & Engagement· Participate in customer calls, meetings, and follow-ups alongside Account Managers· Assist in scheduling and preparing materials for customer meetings· Track customer feedback and help ensure appropriate follow-up actions· Communicate updates, changes, or potential risks to internal teams· Conduct research on customer needs, market trends, and potential opportunitiesTraining & Development· Participate in onboarding and ongoing training programs· Learn internal systems, processes, and industry best practices· Develop knowledge of aerospace and defense products, services, and regulations· Seek opportunities to build skills in communication, negotiation, and account managementCross-Functional Collaboration· Work closely with Sales, Procurement, Operations, Compliance, Shipping, and Finance teams· Attend client meetings and presentations as needed.· Support coordination of purchasing, logistics, and delivery schedules· Assist in ensuring alignment between customer expectations and internal execution· Communicate effectively across departments to support customer success· Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure that our clients receive the most up-to-date and effective solutions.Qualifications· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail· Excellent written and verbal communication skills· Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively· Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Education & Experience· Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent education and/or professional experience will be considered - preferred experience (Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field)· Internship or prior administrative/customer service experience is a plus· Interest in aerospace, defense, or government contracting industriesPosition Details· Job Type: Full Time· Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm· Work Location: In-office onlyBenefits· 401(k) with company match· Health, dental, vision, and life insurance· Paid time offSalary Range· $47,000 - $53,000(An active Secret clearance is Not required for this position)
