This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals with experience in heavy equipment, railcar systems, truck upfitting, or industrial assembly.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nAssemble and install rail equipment, structural components, and mechanical systems.\r\nInstall and route hydraulic hoses, valves, pumps, cylinders, and related components.\r\nPerform electrical upfitting including wiring harnesses, switches, sensors, lighting, alarms, and control systems.\r\nRead and interpret assembly drawings, hydraulic schematics, and electrical diagrams.\r\nMount and connect components to commercial trucks, railcars, and specialized equipment platforms.\r\nTroubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems during final assembly and testing.\r\nEnsure all work meets quality and safety standards.\r\nQualifications\r\n2+ years of assembly, manufacturing, railcar, truck equipment, or heavy equipment experience.\r\nMechanical aptitude with hydraulic and electrical installation experience.\r\nAbility to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic schematics.\r\nExperience with rail equipment, railcars, maintenance-of-way equipment, or truck upfitting preferred.\r\nExperience using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.\r\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.\r\nWhat We Offer\r\nCompetitive pay\r\nHealth, Dental, and Vision Insurance\r\nPTO and Paid Holidays\r\n401(k) with Company Match\r\nCompany-Paid Life and Disability Insurance\r\nCareer Growth Opportunities\r\nJoin Interstate Assembly Systems and help build and upfit specialized rail and transportation equipment for customers across North America.
