Job Details TITLE: Head Coach - Cheerleading REPORTS TO:Athletic Director AVAILABLE: Immediately LOCATION: South Middle School TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Stipend in accordance with EDR contract as stated in the PEA Collective Bargaining Agreement DESCRIPTION: Pennridge School District is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable individual to serve as a Head Coach for our Cheerleading program. This role provides leadership, mentorship, and instruction to student-athletes while promoting a positive, inclusive team culture. PRINCIPLE FUNCTION:Plan and lead practices.Support the development of student-athletes' skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.Promote academic achievement and personal growth among athletes.Supervision and safety of all team members during activities.Manage equipment and maintain team standards of conduct.Model positive behavior and represent the school in a professional manner.Follow all school, district, league, and state athletic association rules. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalent.Some coaching or playing experience in the sport (preferably at the high school level).Basic understanding of the sport.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively with the school staff. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:CPR/First Aid certification.NFHS coaching certification or willingness to obtain.Experience working with youth or student-athletes.Familiarity with school athletic program policies and procedures. PRE-EMPLOYMENT PAPERWORK REQUIREMENTS: Physical and Clearances must be dated within the last 12-months.
