After successfully completing the required on-site training, the position transitions to a remote work model.\n\nJob Responsibilities\n\nReceive inbound calls from members, physicians, healthcare providers, and pharmacists.\n\nConduct outbound calls when follow-up, additional information, or consultation is required.\n\nProcess prior authorization requests using multiple computer systems.\n\nReview and accurately enter member, provider, medication, and authorization information.\n\nUpdate case information and documentation as additional details become available.\n\nExplain prior authorization requirements, appeal processes, and general pharmacy benefit information.\n\nNavigate multiple systems simultaneously to research inquiries and provide accurate medication or clinical information.\n\nApply established benefit-plan criteria and clinical guidelines to support authorization determinations and recommendations.\n\nGather additional information from members, providers, pharmacists, and internal resources when needed.\n\nCollaborate with team members to interpret guidelines and resolve complex cases.\n\nIdentify problems and determine appropriate solutions independently or in collaboration with the team.\n\nDocument all calls, actions, information received, and case outcomes accurately.\n\nMaintain the confidentiality of member and healthcare information.\n\nMeet established expectations for quality, productivity, accuracy, and attendance.\n\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\n\nJob Requirements\n\nValid, unrestricted Puerto Rico Pharmacy Technician license or active Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification.\n\nProfessional verbal and written proficiency in English and Spanish.\n\nMust successfully complete an English proficiency assessment as part of the selection process.\n\nProficiency using Windows-based computers and applications.\n\nAbility to learn and navigate multiple complex computer systems simultaneously.\n\nStrong communication, active-listening, problem-solving, and data-entry skills.\n\nAbility to identify and resolve routine and complex issues independently and in a team environment.\n\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.\n\nAbility to communicate professionally with members, physicians, providers, and pharmacists.\n\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.\n\nRequired Availability\n\nFull-time position: 40 hours per week.\n\nMust be available to work Monday through Friday during operating hours between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. AST.\n\nMust also have availability to work Saturdays between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. AST, according to the assigned schedule.\n\nOccasional overtime may be required on weekends or holidays based on business needs.\n\nTraining\n\nMust be available to complete eight weeks of on-site process training in San Juan.\n\nConsistent attendance and full availability are required throughout the training period.\n\nWork Model\n\nOn-site during the eight-week training period.\n\nRemote work model after successfully completing training.\n\nCandidates must have an appropriate workspace and meet all company requirements for remote work.\n\nCompensation\n\n$15.00 per hour\n\nFull-time position\n\nIf you are a licensed or PTCB-certified Pharmacy Technician who is fully bilingual and interested in applying your knowledge in an administrative healthcare environment, we encourage you to apply.\n\nTPIS is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO Employer / Affirmative Action for Women, Individuals with Disabilities, and Veterans).
