Greeters are expected to smile and be friendly and outgoing with every guest. They will provide an over the top customer service experience for every guest, ensuring that our customers feel welcomed and appreciated.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nGreets all customers as they enter the store in a friendly and outgoing manner.\nActively promoting programs including but not limited to CLUB Membership (US only), VOC and In-Store Pickup.\nModeling our brand standard for customer service by presenting a professional image by adhering to our dress code with a green logo shirt for Bass Pro Shops or tan logo shirt for Cabela’s, name badge visible, appropriate apparel/footwear that meets dress code guidelines, a smile, eye contact, and welcoming body language.\nChecks in all customers’ merchandise for return.\nChecks in all Vendor representatives, completing the necessary visitor log information and controlling the visitor badges.\nRemains aware of all “Special events” in the store and informs customers of details of events, sales, or promotions. Additionally, will provide customers with promotional materials to support special events.\nEnsures entryway and surrounding work area remain clean, tidy, and safe for customers and Outfitters.\nAssists facilitation of customer check-in of all firearms/weapons by notifying the appropriate trained and designated Outfitter to complete the guest check-in per company SOP. Please note, however, that Greeters themselves should never accept, possess, or handle a firearm while performing their job duties.\nALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED\nEXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:\nMinimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:\nExcellent organization skills and attention to details.\nExperience in a customer service environment.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAdaptability to new processes and procedures.\nExcellent self-motivation and initiative while unsupervised.\nTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:\nN/A\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nRegularly walks and stands\nOccasionally performs computer work and lifts up to 50 pounds\nSeldom to never sits\nConstantly communicate with others to exchange information\nConstantly repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.\nOccasionally work in low or high temperatures\nOccasionally work in outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.\nOccasionally work in noisy environments\nLight work that includes constantly moving and lifting objects up to 20 pounds, occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more (utilizing a team lift as needed)\nINDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:\nPerforms tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments.
