Project Integration Engineer

Our workforce of more than 25,000 has preeminent expertise in advanced aircraft design and production, modification and support, stealth technology and systems integration.The Integrated Test Force (ITF) at Edwards Air Force Base, California is seeking a Project Integration Engineer to support activities at the test site.Responsibilities include the oversight and statusing of assigned flight test projects. The candidate will apply project management skills and techniques, including subject matter expert interviewing, interfacing with various flight test disciplines to gain project information and status, tracking and reporting project milestones and status, building project schedules, working with our government counterparts, and providing reports and presentations. Research projects, special projects, and shifting priorities are typical.The position requires technical aircraft knowledge; familiarity with flight test environments, processes, and procedures; application of project management techniques; strong attention to detail; persistence, humility, and a willingness to cooperate with ITF government and LM team members. You should be able to be passionate yet respectful in your communications.Previous experience and familiarity with flight test environments is strongly desired.Responsibilities Include Know and be able to brief project status on-demand Track and continuously evaluate project risks, challenges, and opportunities, be able to predict undesired outcomes and suggest mitigation Build project schedules using MS Project or equivalent software, track and update project milestones, provide routine and on-demand project status reporting. Attend test and safety working groups, scheduling meetings, flight clearance meetings, government requirements meetings, maintenance events, flight test events, and other in-person and virtual meetings and events as needed to keep on top of project progress. Interview technical SMEs, pilots, engineers, mechanics, and technicians as needed. Build cooperation and working relationships with government counterparts. Support and back up other project integration engineers.**Must be a US Citizen.
