Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic$30 - $45/hr based on experienceJoin our team as a Sheet Metal Mechanic where you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of aircraft structures. You will work with a variety of aircraft, including Bell helicopters and Airbus, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.ResponsibilitiesUnderstand and execute maintenance procedures and requirements.Possess a working knowledge of aircraft and aircraft systems.Read and comprehend blueprints, aircraft drawings, maintenance manuals, and installation manuals.Build and repair sheet metal structures according to aircraft maintenance manuals or blueprints.Construct and repair composite structures.Assist with the disassembly and reassembly of aircraft panels.Install kits as per instructions.Build items according to drawings and manuals.Repair aircraft parts using sheet metal or composite materials.Inspect items for serviceability.Assist other departments as required.Participate in road trips as required.Ensure all tags are properly filled out and attached to respective parts.Essential SkillsComplete understanding of maintenance procedures and requirements.Working knowledge of aircraft and aircraft systems.Ability to read and understand blueprints and aircraft drawings/maintenance manuals, and installation manuals.Skill in building and/or repairing sheet metal structures and composites.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.3-5 years of sheet metal experience is a plus.Composite experience is a plus.Attention to detail is a must.Reliability is essential.Why Work Here?We value our employees and offer comprehensive benefits, including 85% coverage of health insurance, 100% coverage for vision, dental, and short-term disability, and $50k life insurance.
