Whether you're advancing AI in HVAC or driving analytics for greater efficiency, your ideas will help engineer solutions for stronger communities and a sustainable world.\r\nTrane Technologies is seeking an experienced Lead Technical Support Engineer who will work with SBU's and technical support groups to provide technical support for existing electronic controls.\r\nWhat you will do\r\nAssist technical support groups with application questions/issues; resolve incoming, assembly, test or manufacturing issues, identify and correct design issues, and resolve issues with system level components and vendors.\r\nHelp identify field issues with hardware or software and work with development teams to drive resolution.\r\nSupport chiller customer witness tests and respond to controls questions in requests for quotations from the sales organization.\r\nAs necessary travel to job sites to assist technical support groups, and local office field technicians in diagnosing and resolving potential design issues with Trane controls.\r\nWork to develop general support knowledge and skills for a broad range of Trane controls products.\r\nParticipate in development projects in transition to production; aid in identifying support/production requirements of new products and opportunities for cost reduction.\r\nEffectively meet the needs of internal and external customers.\r\nWhat you will bring\r\n4-Year Bachelor of Science Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related degree.\r\nMinimum of 10 years of HVAC related experience.\r\nThorough understanding of the electric water chiller refrigeration system.\r\nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics.\r\nExcellent people skills and ability to work with multiple SBU's/vendors\r\nAbility to communicate with others both written and orally.
