This role will partner closely with two Infrastructure Architects to deliver a series of high-priority projects as the organization continues to modernize its technology landscape to support application modernization, cloud adoption, AI initiatives, and enterprise communications improvements.Key Responsibilities:Partner with Infrastructure Architects to design and implement enterprise infrastructure solutions aligned with strategic modernization initiatives.Lead or contribute to high-priority projects including:Cloud infrastructure expansionDisaster recovery and high availability strategy enhancementsAI platform enablementImplementation of a modern enterprise phone/communications systemDevelop and model infrastructure solutions that support scalability, resiliency, and performance for business-critical systems.Design and implement disaster recovery (DR) and high availability (HA) strategies for core infrastructure platforms.Create and maintain infrastructure technology standards, policies, and operational procedures.Implement automation and scripting to streamline infrastructure provisioning and operational tasks.Work across network, compute, storage, and cloud platforms to ensure reliable and secure infrastructure services.Support the evaluation and selection of infrastructure technologies, vendors, and cloud services.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support evolving infrastructure requirements tied to application modernization and AI initiatives.Desired Technical Environment:Networking & Security: Cisco networking platforms, Palo Alto firewalls, Aruba networking solutions, Cisco Meraki suite, and SD-WAN networking with diverse circuit installationsCommunications: Cisco Unified Communications (Call Manager, Contact Center), SIP trunking support and managementInfrastructure & Virtualization: VMware virtual infrastructure, Hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), SAN configuration and storage management, Microsoft Windows Server ecosystem (IIS, clustering, terminal services), and Microsoft Active DirectoryCloud & Modern Infrastructure: Microsoft Azure platform administration and architecture and Cloud service/vendor evaluation and managementAutomation & Scripting: Infrastructure automation using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or ARM and Scripting with PowerShell, Python, or BashAdditional Enterprise Platforms:Citrix XenApp / XenDesktopEnterprise backup and data protection solutionsFile services (local sharing, archiving, cloud storage)Candidates who fit the following criteria are ideal: Strong infrastructure engineering background with networking expertiseExperience designing and implementing enterprise-scale infrastructure solutionsProven ability to own initiatives independently and drive them from concept through implementationExperience building or improving disaster recovery and high availability architecturesComfortable working in complex enterprise environments with multiple platforms and vendorsAbility to balance strategic design with hands-on implementationNo C2C, relocation, or sponsorship.For finer details on how eNGINE can impact your career, apply today!
