Outside Sales Representative – Carrollton, TX (Godwin Business)About the Role:We are seeking a dynamic Outside Sales Representative to join our Godwin business in Carrollton, TX. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth by expanding rental and sales opportunities for Xylem’s products and services. The ideal candidate will leverage strong technical expertise to develop fluid handling solutions, promote aftermarket services, and build lasting customer relationships.What We Offer:Competitive compensationFlexible Time Off (FTO) for salaried positionsComprehensive health, dental, and vision coverageInvestment savings plansAdditional benefits to support your well-beingKey Responsibilities:To succeed in this role, the candidate must be able to perform the following duties effectively:Drive financial performance by increasing rentals and sales within the assigned territoryBuild and manage a robust sales pipeline using Salesforce.comDevelop new accounts and grow existing ones through proactive outreach, including cold calling and lead generationApply technical knowledge to deliver tailored pumping solutions and servicesCollaborate with Marketing to enhance brand visibility and generate new business opportunitiesImplement local marketing strategies to increase market penetrationIdentify cross-selling opportunities across Xylem’s product portfolioMonitor competitor activity and market trendsPrepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and territory analysesParticipate in sales meetings, training sessions, trade shows, and community engagement initiativesSupport onboarding and field training of new sales team membersStay informed through industry research tools such as Dodge Room and Contractors ExchangeEngage in Xylem Watermark volunteer activitiesQualifications:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related fieldMinimum of 2 years in sales or a related role (experience in pump or rental industry preferred)Strong understanding of consultative and value-based sellingTechnical knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and motors (diesel, gas, electric)Proficiency in Salesforce.com or similar CRM platformsAbility to deliver product presentations to groups of 20–40 peopleExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesSkilled in negotiation and influencing techniquesProficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant softwareValid driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicleWillingness to travel locally up to 50% and lift up to 70 lbsWork Environment:This role involves a mix of office work, customer site visits, and shop floor engagement. Candidates must be comfortable driving for extended periods across various terrains and weather conditions.
