The role is responsible for independently leading validation activities, interfacing with customers, and building local validation capabilities while collaborating with global teams.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nValidation Planning & Execution\nExecute environmental, structural, and reliability testing.\nCoordinate outsourced testing with third-party labs.\nMonitor validation progress and drive closure of issues.\nDevelop qualification test plans, validation strategy, and test matrices.\nDefine validation scope based on customer and program requirements.\nFailure Analysis & Corrective Action\nLead root cause analysis for mechanical, structural, and reliability failures.\nApply structured methodologies such as 8D, FMEA, and Fishbone analysis.\nDrive corrective actions and support design improvements.\nConduct risk assessments and validation gap analysis.\nLab Development & Operations\nSupport Austin lab capability build-out and validation readiness.\nPerform chamber operation, test setup, instrumentation, and data collection.\nDevelop standard operating procedures and safety procedures.\nImprove in-house validation capabilities, efficiency, and repeatability.\nThird-Party Lab Management\nIdentify and manage external validation labs.\nLead RFQs, scheduling, test coordination, and oversight.\nPerform witness testing and validate test results.\nReview reports and ensure corrective actions are tracked to closure.\nCustomer & Stakeholder Engagement\nServe as the Product Validation interface for customers and project stakeholders.\nLead validation reviews, issue resolution discussions, and action tracking.\nPresent validation results, risks, and recommendations clearly to technical and business audiences.\nJOB QUALIFICATIONS\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.\n6+ years of experience in validation or reliability engineering.\nExperience with server, storage, networking, AI infrastructure, or rack-level systems.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nStrong knowledge of environmental, structural, and reliability validation methods.\nWorking knowledge of root cause analysis tools including 8D, FMEA, and Fishbone analysis.\nFamiliarity with applicable validation standards such as IEC, MIL-STD, NEBS, ISTA, and ASTM.\nAbility to lead validation execution, coordinate external labs, and manage technical risks with limited oversight.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate validation findings into clear stakeholder messaging.\n\nBE AWARE OF FRAUD: When applying for a job at Jabil you will be contacted via correspondence through our official job portal with a jabil.com e-mail address; direct phone call from a member of the Jabil team; or direct e-mail with a jabil.com e-mail address.
