Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Pyramid, a nonprofit day program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is seeking full time Direct Support Professionals. The employees we seek are energetic, reliable, comfortable working with people who have disabilities and committed to assisting students in reaching their full potential. Personal care is required. Responsibilities: Supervise, train and assist individuals of assigned group in areas of self-help, adult daily living, socialization, basic academics, skills development and leisure. Implement training and behavior programs Complete all required data entry and documentation Ensure that safety and health care practices are observed Assist with and participate in community integration projects Provide personal care services Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Valid Florida driver's license, safe driving record, and 5 years driving experience. Pyramid will provide training in methods and procedures for being successful as a Direct Support Professional. Experience in working individuals with disabilities is not required, but helpful. Behavior Tech experience is a plus. Strong computer skills a plus. Starting salary is $16.25 an hour. Benefits include group health insurance, 401k (matching) and paid time off.
