The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, ability and/or competency needed for successful performance in the role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nComply with our Code of Conduct Requirements and all our Cardinal Rules (e.g., Quality and Safety).\nAll functions, duties or tasks are to be carried out in an honest, ethical and professional manner, and to be performed in conformance with applicable Company policies and procedures.\nIn the event of uncertainty or lack of knowledge of Company policies and procedures, employees are required to request clarification or explanations from superiors or authorized company representatives.\nGenerate loading map and Process Observation Sheets.\nWitness Load Up and light-up forge furnaces.\nMeasure the temperature of forged parts using an Infrared Optical Pyrometer.\nMeasure hot and cold forged parts and document dimensions.\nDocument fixed process requirements, such as cooling method, temperature deviation and wall reduction when applicable.\nOperate forklift and manipulators.\nCommunicate with the Press Crew and document any deviations and report to Quality Manager.\nEnsure a clean and safe work area.\nData Entry to complete shift paperwork and SPC.\nAssist in production as necessary.\nCover multiples crews when required.\nAssist with furnace curing and minor preventive maintenance or repairs when required.\nConsiderable care must be exercised when performing duties in order to avoid downtime or non-production time.\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nRelevant certificate of completion from a technical school preferred but not required.\nExperience in forge industry is highly preferred but not required.\n1+ years of related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and sit. The employee occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 35 pounds.
