{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"984e84b1a9e2b1b59d5f63bd","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/984e84b1a9e2b1b59d5f63bd","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/984e84b1a9e2b1b59d5f63bd","title":"Groundskeeper","description":"DEPARTMENT: Facilities\nREPORTS TO: Grounds Manager\nSALARY RANGE: Salary Commensurate with Experience\nPOSITION / FTE: 1.00 (Full Time Non-Exempt)\nThe essential duties and responsibilities of the Groundskeeper, include but are not limited to:\nMowing, fertilizing, and edging all Taft grounds.\nPlanting and pruning all Taft trees, plants and shrubs.\nCleaning up debris, such as garbage or any school waste.\nLeaf removal.\nPesticide application.\nIrrigation maintenance.\nOperating turf equipment in a safe manner and on a variety of terrains.\nLight excavation work using mechanical equipment.\nRemoving snow and ice using mechanical equipment and manual labor.\nOperating heavy equipment, such as a backhoe, loader or trucks as needed.\nPreparing school grounds for all Taft events, including Grandparents’ Day, Alumni Weekend, Parents’ Weekend and Graduation.\nAbility to work after hours, weekends and emergency call-ins.\nAssisting the Grounds Manager and Director of Facilities as needed.\nExperience in grounds maintenance.\nAbility to lift 65 lbs, climb a ladder and perform heavy manual labor.\nStamina to maintain continuous physical effort for the duration of a shift on a regular basis.\nHigh School diploma or equivalent.\nAbility to interact and work with staff, faculty, students and outside vendors in a friendly, effective manner.\nThe Taft School is an affirmative action-equal opportunity employer.
