Join us.\r\nJob Description\r\nAECOM US+LATAM Energy practice is seeking candidates for the position of Process Chief Engineer to lead our Process Engineering team in our Industrial and Generation department. The Process Chief Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and developing the team's engineering capabilities with a key focus on refinery, NGL, and petrochemical processes; ensuring the execution, completeness and quality of engineering deliverables; supporting and leading business development activities, and providing strategic vision to improve the I&G department's process engineering capabilities by identifying and hiring staff as needed and implementing continuous improvement techniques to increase efficiency and consistency in performance in accordance with AECOM Quality and Safety standards.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nGeneral Management: Provide general supervision of all process team members; assist Department Manager in communicating procedures and policies; promote open dialogue; ensure health & safety training is completed; mentor team members to meet project objectives; review and approve timesheets.\r\nResource Management: Identify staff to support projects; adjust workloads; manage process work to keep staff billable; plan for skill gaps or capacity needs; coordinate hiring and integration of new employees; provide required resources (hardware/software, processes, literature).\r\nCareer Development: Mentor and guide team members; identify training opportunities; conduct performance reviews; build confidence for growth in responsibilities.\r\nQuality Management: Ensure compliance with processes, standards and QA/QC; support detailed checking and ITR processes; assist in change order identification; coordinate with Project Management on work product review and client needs; foster recognition of exceptional performance.\r\nBusiness Development: Contribute to annual business plan, growth plans, and sold time; support proposals with execution plans for process needs; develop budgets for tasks and manhours.\r\nQualifications\r\nMinimum Qualifications\r\nBA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education\r\nRelevant engineering experience within industrial, refineries and/or power facilities\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\n5+ years experience in team supervision\r\nPE Licensure\r\n10+ years relevant experience within industrial, refineries and/or power facilities\r\n7+ years as technical lead on refinery or NGL projects\r\nDemonstrated experience with engineering analysis software (Aspen/HYSYS, Arrow, Fathom, Promax, Pipe-flo)\r\nExperience with HAZOPs\r\nExperience in planning and coordinating engineering and design for complex, multi-discipline programs/projects\r\nExperience in work process standardization and continuous improvement of engineering work product development\r\nExperience in resource planning (labor forecasting, hiring, staff planning, labor cost estimating)\r\nExperience in supporting business development activities, including proposal work scope development and client meetings\r\nPassion for developing talented technical teams\r\nExperience in full EPC, Design/Build projects\r\nExperience in workshare with international engineering resource centers\r\nField construction support, startup and commissioning experience\r\nSuccessful experience working in remote and multi-disciplined teams\r\nExpert familiarity with industry codes and standards\r\nExperience working in collaborative 3D model environments (e.g. Plant 3D, Navisworks)\r\nAdditional Information\r\nRelocation assistance is not available for this role\r\nVisa sponsorship is not available for this position, now or in the future\r\nOffered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
