This role is ideal for early‑career engineers interested in FPGA design, DSP, and embedded systems, and provides hands‑on experience working alongside experienced engineers in a mission‑focused laboratory environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nAssist in the development, implementation, and testing of FPGA logic for digital signal processing and communications applications.\n\nSupport the implementation of basic DSP functions in FPGA hardware under guidance from senior engineers.\n\nAssist with FPGA integration, hardware bring‑up, and debugging in laboratory environments.\n\nDevelop and run simulation testbenches to verify functional behavior of FPGA designs.\n\nSupport integration of FPGA logic with embedded processors and system interfaces.\n\nAssist with documentation, version control, and configuration management activities.\n\nParticipate in design reviews, peer reviews, and team technical discussions.\n\nLearn and apply FPGA development workflows, best practices, and debugging techniques.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering\n\nCoursework or internship experience involving FPGA design, digital logic, or signal processing\n\nFamiliarity with VHDL and/or Verilog\n\nBasic understanding of DSP concepts such as filtering and sampling\n\nFamiliarity with Linux and version control tools such as Git\n\nAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nAcademic or internship experience with FPGA tools such as Vivado\n\nExposure to SDR concepts or communications systems\n\nFamiliarity with MATLAB, Python, or C/C++\n\nBasic Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000 (For Beavercreek, OH Only)\nThe offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.\n\nBelong, Connect and Grow at KBR\nAt KBR, we are passionate about our people and our Zero Harm culture.
