This role involves driving standardization of the EaglePicher software development processes and enforcing best practices consistent with the EaglePicher Product Development process. The candidate should expect to oversee the entire software development lifecycle collaborating with the customer, the systems engineering, the product engineering, the business, the product development, and IT teams and manufacturing teams to ensure support of current developing products and supporting existing products. As the team grows the candidate should expect to transition from working lead to a managerial role. The role will report to the Director of Systems Engineering.\n\nResponsibilities:\nArchitects scalable embedded software consisting of board support packages to feed an application layer.\nDevelops embedded systems software for reading sensors (voltage, current, temperature, etc.) and controlling actuators for safety critical systems.\nDevelops standard communication interfaces for inter-board and outbound system communication.\nImplements modular algorithms for battery State of Health and State of Charge.\nCollaborates with the Product Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Systems Engineering teams to assist in the development of new features within the EaglePicher Battery Testing Suite.\nCollaborates with the Product Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Systems Engineering teams to assist in the development of automating results and analysis of data from the EaglePicher Battery Testing Suite and batteries that are out in the field.\nDesigns and implements battery management and maintenance applications based on both customer and internal needs.\nDocuments software requirements specifications in compliance with product requirements standard.\nDocuments software design documents in compliance with product design standard.\nCreates source code following product software coding standards including static and dynamic analysis.\nProduces integration and unit testing of delivered source code.\nParticipates in safety and cybersecurity risk analysis.\nDrives the standardization of EaglePicher’s software development process.\nSupports and develops software engineers by providing advice and coaching in technical reviews.\nUpdates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing hardware by enrolling in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.\n\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering required.\nCandidate should have minimum of 5 years’ experience in a software development environment and have managerial experience.\nExperience in Object Oriented Programming (OOP)\nExperience in a safety regulated industry (Ex.
