The Data Collector conducts on-board ride checks to collect accurate ridership data which is utilized to continuously improve customer service. This is not an in-office position. Greater than 90% of work is accomplished by riding in-service bus routes.\nTransdev is proud to offer:\nCompetitive starting pay rate of $18.00 – $19.00 per hour.\nBenefits include:\nVacation: minimum of two (2) weeks\nSick days: 5 days\nHolidays: 7 days\nOther standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability.\nBenefits may vary depending on location policy. The above represents the standard Corporate Policy.\nKey Responsibilities:\nConducts on-board ride checks of passengers boarding\nAlighting buses by location and time to provide Statisticians with data to compile into reports to enhance customer service\nConducts stationary checks of bus ridership and schedule adherence at maximum load points of routes, branch\npoints and other special points\nEvaluates bus stop/shelter usage when needed\nDistributes survey questionnaires when needed\nPerforms weekly on-board riding checks to determine fare payment methods or other necessary planning information per the City of Phoenix to achieve matching funds as required by the FTA\nWorks varied hours, days, and shifts, which may change on a frequent basis\nOther related duties as assigned\nQualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or GED; Technical Degree preferred.\n3 years+ of supervisory experience\nExcellent verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills.\nExcellent skills in Microsoft Office\nAbility to use and master specialty transit relates software programs\nAbility to work effectively with little to no direct supervision\nAbility to quickly gain a thorough understanding of routes, schedules, fare structures, rules, company policies and procedures, operator and supervisor manuals, as well as the operator labor agreement.\nMust possess the capability to work in a team orientated environment.\nProblem solving and analytical skills.\nKnowledge of two-way radio systems is essential\nKnowledge of the Metropolitan Phoenix area is a plus\nKnowledge of or ability to learn working systems of buses is a plus\nMust be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.\nSubject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
