Working closely with system architects, software engineers, electrical engineers, and suppliers, you'll help deliver reliable and serviceable automation solutions that meet demanding performance, quality, and schedule requirements.\n\nYou'll report into the Development & Engineering organization and collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines to support system development and innovation.\n\nAs a PLC Engineer, you'll:\n\nDesign software and firmware for Siemens PLC systems that meet system requirements, cost targets, and project schedules.\nParticipate in defining system specifications and translating requirements into robust control solutions.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of reliable products.\nSelect and evaluate hardware architectures and components for complex, high-precision systems.\nApply and promote best practices in PLC design, architecture, and industrial automation methodologies.\nDevelop and maintain PLC test benches and simulation environments to validate software before deployment.\nSupport system integration, troubleshooting, validation, and qualification activities.\nContribute to technical roadmaps and adoption of new technologies and engineering methods.\nProvide accurate project status updates and technical documentation to engineering leadership.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nEducation and experience\n\nTo help us solve the technical challenges involved in next-generation semiconductor manufacturing systems, you'll need experience designing and implementing industrial automation solutions in complex engineering environments. As a PLC Engineer, you'll need:\n\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.\nAt least 5 years of experience designing PLC-based industrial automation and control systems .\nExperience programming Siemens PLCs using TIA Portal, PLCSIM, HMI, and related Siemens tools.\nExperience with Siemens SIMIT simulation platform and PLC validation methodologies.\nProficiency with LAD, SCL, FBD, and STL programming languages.\nExperience implementing PID control loops, serial communications, and industrial control architectures.\nExperience collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to define system requirements.\nHands-on experience troubleshooting electronic systems at the module and system level.\nExperience with PLC test benches, digital twins, design validation, and qualification activities.\nExperience with auto-generated PLC code from Simulink models and broader system-level concepts is a plus.\n\nSkills\n\nWorking at the forefront of semiconductor technology means solving complex engineering challenges in a highly collaborative environment.
