This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career developer to expand their technical expertise in Node.js, Go, and modern web technologies while contributing to a collaborative Agile development environment.\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve software defects in web applications using React front ends and Node.js and Go backend services under the guidance of senior engineers.\nDevelop, execute, and maintain automated tests to improve application quality, functionality, and reliability.\nParticipate in software patching, maintenance cycles, and application releases.\nCollaborate with senior engineers and development team members to support ongoing application modernization and sustainment activities.\nTransition into the team's on-call support rotation following onboarding and training.\nRequirements:\nAt least 1 year of backend software engineering experience using Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript) or Go (Golang); OR\nAt least 2 years of backend development experience using another strongly typed programming language, with demonstrated Node.js or Go projects.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience with PostgreSQL databases.\nFamiliarity with container technologies.\nActive Secret security clearance.\n\nWork Location and Schedule\n\nLocation: Remote\nSchedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with core hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eastern. The team operates in two-week sprints, with a customer demonstration at the end of each sprint.\nTravel: 0–10%, within the Washington, DC metropolitan area.\nSecurity Requirement: U.S. citizenship required. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoW security clearance.
