Truss Assembler will stock lumber, plates and other work-related materials and supplies. Will also band/stack finished products.\n\n*Responsibilities:*\n\n· Pull plates.\n\n· Set up and operate presses, nail guns, and other equipment.\n\n· Place cut material and plates per specification.\n\n· Connect plates with the use of hammer and/or press.\n\n· Lift and stack product off lumber carts, band and mark product, and push/pull product on carts to designated areas.\n\n· Complete continuous quality review throughout processes to meet quality and accuracy requirements including dimensions, lumber grades, and building process.\n\n· Perform daily stretch and flex prior to starting job duties.\n\n· Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work area.\n\n· Report any equipment and product deficiencies to Lead.\n\n· Follow all established written and unwritten company procedures.\n\n· Wear all required PPE (steel toed boots, safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves).\n\n· Comply with OSHA requirements and established company safety policies and procedures.\n\n· Accepts other duties as assigned by the Section Lead and Foreman.\n\n*Required Qualifications:*\n\n· Minimum experience required- Prior carpentry experience helpful\n\n· Special skills required- Must be able to read a tape measure and use a hammer. Ability to learn to operate equipment such as routers, saws, presses, and staple guns.\n\n· Physical demands include exposure to extreme temperatures, lifting up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis and up to 100 lbs. occasionally. Dusty and noisy environment when operating woodworking machines and tools. Ear protection required when exposed to noise for an extended period of time.
