The environment is practical and performance-driven, with a focus on giving leaders the ability to take ownership of their function and build structure where needed.About the RoleThe Corporate Director of Accounting will lead all accounting functions across a portfolio of hotel properties. This role works closely with property teams and senior leadership to ensure accurate reporting, consistent processes, and strong financial controls across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesCorporate Accounting Operations• Direct and standardize chart of accounts, accounting policies, and procedures across the portfolio• Manage month-end and year-end close processes with a focus on accuracy and timeliness• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions• Supervise reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and intercompany transactions• Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and capital trackingFinancial Reporting & Compliance• Oversee consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting• Ensure compliance with GAAP, USALI, brand standards, and regulatory requirements• Maintain internal controls across all entities• Oversee tax filings across multiple jurisdictionsMulti-Property Oversight• Conduct property visits to review accounting practices and financial performance• Benchmark performance against budget, prior year, and industry standards• Support onboarding and integration of new propertiesStrategic Finance & Systems• Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes• Support acquisitions with financial analysis and due diligence• Oversee accounting systems and lead upgrades and integrations• Drive process improvements and automation initiativesLeadership & Team Management• Lead and develop a corporate accounting team• Deliver training on systems, policies, and procedures• Set performance goals and support professional development• Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvementQualificationsRequired• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance• 8 to 12 or more years of accounting experience• Multi-entity or multi-location oversight experience• Strong knowledge of GAAP• Advanced Excel skillsPreferred• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or MBA• Experience with branded hotel companies (Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG)• Hospitality or hotel accounting experience• Experience with systems such as M3, Aptech, or similar• Familiarity with property management systems such as Opera or Maestro• Exposure to real estate accountingWhy This Opportunity• Growing portfolio with the ability to make a direct impact• Leadership team that remains engaged and accessible• Opportunity to build structure and improve processes• Exposure to acquisitions and continued expansionAbout us:ASAP Associates is New England's oldest and most established name in hospitality recruitment and consulting.
