Job Summary
Manufacture Quality Components and Sub-Assemblies of large size with Proficiency using CNC Machining Centers.
Essential Functions
Setup and operate machining centers to reliably manufacture our customers products
Work from drawings and internal job routings
Optimize machining processes
Complete periodic maintenance for assigned work center and tooling
Complete inspection of each feature on each component produced
Document setup Instructions, and inspected part dimensions
Acquire and Maintain personal tooling required as per Schurman Machine tooling outline
Maintain a professional demeanor
Qualifications
On the job experience operating large horizontal & vertical CNC mills
Able to setup one-off parts efficiently & without supervision
Responsible and Reliable
Proficient in blueprint reading
Proficient in geometry and trigonometry
Proficient in G-Code
Able to handle changing priorities in a fast paced environment
Must pass drug test prior to hire
Physical Requirements
Visual acuity to read directions, blueprints, and inspect machined parts closely
Manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery
Physical ability to do the work required with frequent stooping and bending
Maneuver up/down ladders & in/around large parts on machine
Physical strength to lift up to 50 lbs. on a routine basis
