This role will focus on developing, enhancing, and maintaining data-driven applications and services in an AWS-heavy environment.\n\nThe ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience with Python and AWS, along with solid SQL and data engineering capabilities. The engineer will work with cloud native services, data platforms, and DevOps practices to deliver reliable and scalable solutions supporting financial crime prevention and related business functions.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nDevelop, enhance, and maintain Python-based applications and data solutions supporting the Financial Crimes portfolio.\nBuild and support solutions leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, EC2, ECS/EKS, and Redshift.\nDevelop and optimize SQL queries and data processing workflows.\nWork with structured and large-scale datasets to support application and analytical requirements.\nImplement monitoring and operational support using AWS CloudWatch and related services.\nApply AWS IAM, Secrets Manager, and security best practices when working with cloud applications and data.\nParticipate in CI/CD, deployment, troubleshooting, and other DevOps activities.\nCollaborate with engineering, data, and business teams in a financial services environment.\n\nRequirements\n\n5+ years of hands-on Python development experience.\nStrong practical experience developing and supporting solutions in AWS.\nExperience with key AWS services, particularly Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, EC2, and CloudWatch.\nStrong SQL skills, including querying and working with large datasets.\nExperience with data engineering, data processing, or data-intensive applications.\nHands-on experience with Amazon Redshift.\nFamiliarity with container technologies and services such as ECS and/or EKS.\nUnderstanding of AWS security services and practices, including IAM and Secrets Manager.\nWorking knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD concepts.\nStrong troubleshooting and production support skills.\nFinancial Services or Financial Crimes technology experience is beneficial but is not mandatory.\n\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.\n\nSystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
