Our growing backlog of water and wastewater related projects creates an opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects that contribute to the development of solutions addressing key water resource issues. The Project Manager will deliver projects that aid water systems primarily located in disadvantaged communities (DACs) throughout the state. DACs often suffer from contaminated and compromised water quality, lacking the training, skills, and expertise needed to secure federal and state funding to improve their water systems. we provides technical assistance and engineering support to help with all stages of project development to improve water quality and supply for small water systems.Why join us?Remote Flexibility anywhere in the state of CA!100% paid benefits medical, dental, and vision for employee and 2/3 of healthcare costs for family401K11 paid holidays + 1 floating holiday of your choosing80 hours sick pay each year80 hours vacation each year (accrued 6.68/month)Job DetailsThe Project Manager/Senior Engineer will provide team leadership of the following:Conceptual Engineering: Provide conceptual engineering technical assistance to systems needing support for existing conditions and concerns (e.g., regulatory compliance, etc.).Preliminary Engineering and Design: Provide preliminary engineering and design technical assistance. This may include assistance with design schematics and layouts; base mapping, ROW, easement and permitting assistance, coordination with sub consultants in the areas of environmental, survey, geotechnical studies, hydrologic/hydraulic analyses, etc.Needs assessments, systems evaluations, preliminary engineering, technical memorandums; and full design of plans, specifications, and bidding and contracting documents.PHYSICAL DEMANDSTravel for extended periods of time throughout the state by car or airplaneAbility to lift 20lbs or lessSitting, standing or walking for long periods of timeUse of office equipment, i.e., computers, fax, copiers, phone equipment, etc.Hearing and vision within normal ranges with or without correctionMinimum Requirements9+ years' minimum experience with water and wastewater engineering related projectsLicensed California Professional EngineerDegree in Civil or Mechanical EngineeringStrong attention to detailMust possess and maintain a CA Driver's LicenseProficient in MS Office Suite and AdobeComputer, verbal, project management skillsStrong technical writing and editing abilityGood oral and online communicationTeamwork and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to achieve priorities and meet deadlinesAbility to adapt, change, and learn new skills rapidly and respond well to a variety of personalities.Must be passionate about maintaining and enhancing client relationshipsCandidates must be able to work independently and in a team environment and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers and counterparties.Knowledge of engineering design and construction practicesRead and understand codes and regulations, parcel and subdivision maps, construction improvement plans, and specifications.Ability to travel to off-site work locations depending on job assignments.Experience with AutoCad, Bluebeam, Arc GIS, water modeling software, is not required but preferred.TYPICAL DUTIESManage complex engineering and planning work for clientsPerform calculations and analysisPreparation of plans, specifications, preliminary engineering reports for water and/or wastewater projectsEngages in staff development and mentoring of staff/team membersOversee the overall quality of project deliverablesLead project teams to provide successful projects that meet client needsBe the primary point of contact on projectsMeet deadlines and track project budgets efficientlyPrepare records, reports, and correspondenceResearch and project developmentPrepare cost estimatesCreate, update, and prepare maps, figures, plans, profiles and detailed drawingsTechnical writingQA/QC review of plans, specifications, preliminary engineering reports, etc.Fosters and maintains one on one relationships with clients.Interested in hearing more?
