We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who thrive in a collaborative environment, who are driven to deliver great work, are customer-oriented and are naturally empathetic.\n\nESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES MAY INCLUDE\n\nDetermines the impact of new programs on and ensures their compatibility with existing system operations.\nOversees development of system specifications through interaction with business users and sponsors; determines the feasibility of the resulting projects; and displays strong depth of knowledge in specific business subject areas.\nAssists in projecting software and hardware requirements.\nOversees design, development, maintenance, testing and debugging of software ensuring Sedgwick software development lifecycle (SDLC) guidelines are followed.\nFormulates/defines project scope and objectives.\nLeads the development, modification, and maintenance of software to meet company needs and user suggestions.\nPrepares program documentation including administrator and end user help documents.\nDirects other analyst/programmers; assigns, prioritizes and monitors workload.\nProvides guidance and training to team.\nPrepares status reports to department manager.\nEnsures successful completion of projects in conformance to project goals and requirements.\nEnsures proactive and cooperative relationships exist within the project team; remains accessible to project team members.\nKeeps up-to-date with technology changes and direction.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required. Information Systems or Computer Science major preferred.\n\nNine (9) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required to include five (5) years of program development experience with three (3) years specialized programming relative to program needs.
