The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in cloud engineering, security compliance, and automation, along with experience navigating the complexities of government cloud environments.\nThe selected candidate will play a key role in shaping cloud architecture, enforcing security best practices, and enabling efficient, Agile-driven delivery across multiple application environments.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, implement, and manage secure cloud infrastructure across development, testing, staging, and production environments\nDevelop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform\nBuild and manage CI/CD pipelines with integrated security controls and automated testing\nEstablish and enforce DevSecOps best practices throughout the software development lifecycle\nImplement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Splunk)\nEnsure compliance with federal security standards and frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800.53)\nIdentify and mitigate security vulnerabilities and risks in cloud environments\nOptimize application performance, scalability, and reliability across all environments\nDevelop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity strategies\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions\nProvide technical guidance, training, and knowledge transfer to development and operations teams\nDrive continuous improvement in automation, security, and cloud operations\nRequired Qualifications\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field\nMinimum 6+ years of relevant experience\nAt least 5+ years in DevOps or cloud engineering roles\nDemonstrated experience building and deploying cloud-native applications\nCore Technical Expertise\nAWS & Cloud Engineering\nStrong experience with AWS services, particularly in AWS GovCloud environments\nHands-on experience with:\nCompute, storage, networking, and managed services\nMulti-environment architecture (dev, test, staging, production)\nUnderstanding of cloud networking and architecture design\nDevSecOps & Automation\nExpertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform preferred)\nStrong experience building and maintaining:\nCI/CD pipelines (GitLab or similar tools)\nAutomated testing and deployment workflows\nProficiency in scripting languages:\nPython, Bash\nSecurity & Compliance\nDeep understanding of cloud security principles and best practices\nExperience with:\nIdentity and Access Management (IAM)\nSecure application deployment\nFamiliarity with federal compliance standards, including:\nFedRAMP\nFISMA\nNIST 800.53\nContainerization & Orchestration\nExperience with:\nDocker\nKubernetes (EKS, ECS, Fargate)\nMonitoring & Observability\nExperience implementing:\nLogging, monitoring, and alerting solutions\nTools such as AWS CloudWatch and Splunk\nVersion Control & Testing\nProficiency with:\nGit-based version control systems\nUnit testing and automated testing frameworks\nAdditional Preferred Skills\nExperience with XACTA 360\nExperience supporting federal agencies or government IT environments\nFamiliarity with security auditing and compliance documentation processes\nSoft Skills\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities\nAbility to work independently while contributing to team success\nCommitment to continuous learning and process improvement\nWhy Join Diverse Agile Solutions (DAS)?\nAt DAS, we deliver innovative, secure, and mission-focused solutions that support critical government operations.
