Job Title: Senior Director Scientific CommunicationsJob DescriptionThe Senior Director, Scientific Communications Lead for the muscular dystrophy program provides leadership in the planning, development, and execution of an integrated scientific communications strategy. This role is pivotal in translating complex scientific, clinical, and real-world data into clear, accurate, and compliant communications for internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and payers. The ideal candidate will have expertise in strategic scientific communication planning and cross-functional leadership, ensuring a cohesive partnership with Global Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Biostatistics, Research, HEOR, Commercial, and Corporate Communications teams.ResponsibilitiesLead the planning, development, and execution of an integrated scientific communications strategy.Translate complex scientific, clinical, and real-world data into clear and compliant communications.Collaborate with Global Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Biostatistics, Research, HEOR, Commercial, and Corporate Communications teams.Define long-term strategies for scientific communication related to muscular dystrophy.Ensure clear communication with healthcare professionals and payers.Manage vendor partnerships effectively.Essential SkillsDoctorate degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) with 12+ years of experience in rare diseases or neuromuscular disciplines.Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of achieving goals in high-performing, diverse teams.Demonstrated success in navigating and influencing within highly matrixed organizations.Experience in building strong and effective relationships with thought leaders.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsLaunch experience preferred.Experience in scientific communications, publications, and educational review.Vendor management expertise.Work EnvironmentThis position operates in a hybrid work environment, requiring presence in the office in Waltham three to four times a week.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Waltham, MA.Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $233000.00 - $285000.00/yr.Health, Dental, Medical, Vision, 401kWorkplace TypeThis is a hybrid position in Waltham,MA.Application DeadlineThis position is anticipated to close on Apr 3, 2026.Diversity, Equity & InclusionAt Actalent, Diversity And Inclusion Are a Bridge Towards The Equity And Success Of Our People.
