Full Stack Developer

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join a high-impact financial forecasting and accounting technology team supporting enterprise-level forecasting and reporting initiatives.Location: McLean, VA (5 days onsite)Duration: 6+ Month Contract (High possibility of extension/conversion)Local Candidates from DMV area preferredKey Responsibilities:• Develop, refactor, and modernize financial forecasting and accounting applications• Build and enhance backend services and forecasting engines using Python• Support quarterly financial reporting cycles and troubleshoot production issues• Collaborate with finance stakeholders to implement forecasting models and scenario analysis• Write clean, scalable, and testable code with strong unit test coverage• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and platform improvement initiativesRequired Skills:• 5+ years of software development experience with Python, Java, or C#• Strong understanding of OOP concepts and software engineering best practices• Experience with SQL, Git, and unit testing frameworks such as pytest• Ability to work closely with business and finance users• Strong communication and analytical skills• Financial or banking domain experience requiredPreferred Qualifications:• Experience with fixed income or forecasting platforms• Certifications such as CFA, FRM, or CPA is highly preferred• Java + Python background is a strong plusCandidates with strong financial domain knowledge and experience supporting accounting or forecasting applications will be prioritized.
