This is a seasonal role, expected to support our camp season from June 16th to August 22nd, with the opportunity to join our team of coaches with evening and weekend availability.PERKS!Joining a workplace where you can be part of a fun, energetic and professional team that loves what they do!Coaching and mentoring children to make an impact on their lives!Having flexibility for a part-time or full-time scheduleSeasonal positions availableTHE ROLE & SCHEDULEWe are looking for a camp coach with an athletic or coaching background who ideally has experience in summer camps or coaching kids ages 4 - 11KidStrong Camp Coach would focus on coaching children on brain, physical, and character development that stems from a designed camp curriculumIdeal candidate must also be comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding any incidents that take place during campCamps typically run when school is out, from 9 am - 2:30 pm *may vary depending on locations - the ideal candidate will be available during those hoursAdditional opportunity to increase scheduled hours through private party coaching hours & KidStrong Class coaching - may require additional trainingCOACH RESPONSIBILITIESCamp sizes of up to 30 children, ages ranging from 4 - 11Teach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming teamMust be able to ensure camp both start and ends on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of the curriculumGreet students as well as parent(s)/guardian(s) as they arrive to campMaintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading campDemonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercisesKeep an accurate record of attendance at all timesEnsure cleanliness of the center, including the lobby, bathrooms, and blue floors - this includes taking out the trash, sweeping and mopping, wiping down equipment, and sanitizing the mat at the end of a shiftEffectively use the KS Coachs App to record class data and provide records of data for parents (attendance, awards, etc.)Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack, our company messaging system, including periodic checks of messages when not in centersComplete training through LearnUpon as required by the HQ Training and Certification teamMust be able to work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through camp, lift and repeatedly moving equipment up to 25 pounds in weight. xaygatp Must be comfortable working "hands-on" with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety.Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by KidStrong DirectorMust obtain camp-certified status from the HQ Training and Certification teamSupervision, safety, and program implementation for campers while ensuring the well-being of all childrenJOB QUALIFICATIONSPassion for working with childrenPrior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age is preferredCPR certification is a plusPositive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skillsSelf-starter who just gets a job doneIf you enjoy the spotlight, this position was meant for you!
